Goblin Adds a Second Los Angeles Show to Tour ScheduleThe October 22nd LA Goblin show went on sale on Saturday, June 29th, and sold out immediately, so a second show has been added for Wednesday, October 23rd. Read on for the details.

From the Press Release:
The October 23rd show will feature a rare 35mm screening of Dario Argento’s TENEBRAE (the October 22nd show features DEEP RED). Playing Los Angeles for the first time in their 40-year history, Goblin will perform a full, live set pulled from their most iconic scores, including: Dario Argento’s giallo classics Suspiria, Tenebrae, and Deep Red and George A. Romero’s seminal Dawn of the Dead. Immediately following Goblin’s performance will be an incredibly rare 35mm screening of Argento’s 1982 TENEBRAE.

The lineup for this tour will include original members since 1975 Claudio Simonetti and Maurizio Guarini (keyboards) and Massimo Morante (guitar). The band is rounded out by drummer Titta Tani and bassist Bruno Previtali that joined in 2010.

The event will take place inside the auditorium of the Egyptian Theatre. To celebrate Goblin’s first show in Los Angeles, Beyond Fest is producing a limited edition poster designed by seminal UK artist Graham Humphreys. A fan favorite of the band, Graham’s poster will be made available exclusively at the show.

Tickets for this event are only available online from Brown Paper Tickets. They will go on sale at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. No tickets will be sold at the box office or on Fandango for this event. It is expected that this show will also sell out immediately.

General Admission is $33.50; VIP is $78.50. Only 60 VIP tickets will be sold in total. VIP admission includes access to the band’s soundcheck, pre-show meet and greet with the band, commemorative event poster signed by Graham Humphreys, and first entry into the theatre for the live performance and TENEBRAE screening.

About Tenebrae:
1982, 110 min, Italy, Dir: Dario Argento

Dario Argento’s mastery of the giallo is clear in this stylish thriller, which is among the writer-director’s most violent – and erotic. In Rome to promote his new novel, a murder mystery writer (Anthony Franciosa) learns that his work has inspired a serial slasher who targets women. As the author teams with the police to find the killer, the blood flows as freely as the plot twists in this oft-censored “video nasty,” which includes some of Argento’s most dazzling set pieces. Goblin keyboardist Claudio Simonetti, guitarist Massimo Morante, and bassist Fabio Pignatelli reunited to create the suspenseful soundtrack. With John Saxon and Daria Nicolodi.

For more information about this event, visit the American Cinematheque website.

Doors will open at 7:30 PM with an intermission between the live concert and the screening of Tenebrae. This show is all ages, but bear in mind the film has disturbing images of murder in it.

This event is part of the inaugural Beyond Fest (more details to be announced over the next few months) that will take place at the Egyptian Theatre October 13-27, 2013.

Hunt a Serial Killer Through Chicago In My Eyes On You

Published

on

Developer Storymind Entertainment have released the first gameplay trailer for My Eyes On You, and it looks like we’re in for something completely truly unique, in terms of both visuals and narrative.

My Eyes On You takes place in a near future version of Chicago, with FBI agent Jordan Adalien hunting an elusive serial killer known only as the Man in the Red Mask. The decisions you make will also dictate whether the game’s plot stays closer to reality or heads in a supernatural direction, so you’d better be careful what you wish for. Whilst searching for clues will be one of your main areas of focus, combat will also play an important role, too.

The trailer for My Eyes On You certainly gives off a strong Blade Runner 2049 vibe, so if that’s your thing, you’re probably in for a great time. It will be available on PC and consoles, although a release date has not yet been confirmed.
