One film that’s been clinging to the shelf for the past several months is the next 3D horror flick coming at you from music video director Todd Levin, Static 3D. That changes now, however, as Cinedigm has sucked up the rights for the flick.
Per Deadline, the low budget indie was shot in 3D with a custom rig to keep costs down. After an initial 2D VOD release, the plan is to release Static in 3D on DVD. Levin wrote the film with Gabriel Cowan, John Suits, and Andrew Orci.
The flick stars Milo Ventimiglia (“Heroes”), Sarah Shahi (“The L Word”), and Sara Paxton (The Last House on the Left; The Innkeepers).
As a young novelist and his wife are coping with the loss of their child, their lives are turned upside down when a panicked girl appears at their home in the middle of the night with stories of masked intruders stalking her. That night the stalkers strike, sending the couple on an horrific game of cat and mouse, where they are forced to uncover shocking details from their past that may be the reason for the attack.
