Is there a creepier place than mental institutions? All that authoritative oppression, screwy medical techniques and diabolical doctors is enough to get this writer’s skin crawling.
And now it looks like a brand new horror anthology called Sanitarium is looking to tap into all those fears and much more.
Directed by Bryan Ramirez, Kerry Valderrama and Bryan Oritz- a trio of Texas filmmakers- Sanitarium follows Dr. Stenson (Malcolm McDowell), the primary physician at this particular institution who may have his own hidden agenda while treating his insane patients who seem to never get better, despite the fine doctor’s ‘best efforts.’ The anthology also stars Robert Englund, Lacey Chabert, Lou Diamond Phillips and John Glover.
Sanitarium recently celebrated its world premiere this past weekend at the Miami International Film Festival and in honor of the flick’s fest bow, Dread Central got our hot little hands on an exclusive clip to share with you fiends in honor of Indie Horror Month 2013.
