Kevin Williamson Working on New Supernatural Themed Show for The CW
We've said it before and we'll say it again ... surprisingly enough "The Vampire Diaries" is good stuff. Way better than you'd imagine it being at first glance. Give in to your morbid curiosity!
According to Deadline Hollywood "TVD" scribe Kevin Williamson is hard at work on a new supernatural drama project, envisioned as a potential companion for The CW's flagship vampire drama.
The untitled project, which is in early stages of development at Warner Bros. TV for The CW, is described as "The X-Files meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer." It focuses on a group of people who investigate paranormal happenings. Williamson's fellow "Vampire Diaries" co-creator/executive producer Julie Plec is in talks to come on board and co-write the project with him.
In case you're wondering, this series will stand on its own, and there will be no crossover characters from "The Vampire Diaries" in it anytime soon. Look for more as it comes!
