Swedish Directing Team Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein to Tackle Underworld 4?

Swedish horror has become the flavor of the last several months and with movies like Let the Right One In being all the rage, it's easy to see why. So why not give them a chance to work a big budget Hollywood sequel? (Let's just hope it ends better than France's tango with Americanized filmmaking.)

According to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision Blog, Swedish directing team Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein have been hired to direct Underworld 4 for Screen Gems and Lakeshore Entertainment.

Kate Beckinsale is set to return as vampire warrior Selene to pass the torch to her daughter as she can't be fitting into those yummy skintight leather pants forever.

Production is set to start in March 2011 in Vancouver. John Hlavin wrote the script, which underwent revisions by comics writer and Changeling scribe J. Michael Straczynski.
