John Carpenter to Produce Dennison Ramalho's The Hell Within

John CarpenterJohn Carpenter teaming up with the demented mind that helped birth Coffin Joe's Embodiment of Evil? This could be the best news all year! Yes, Dennison Ramalho, who co-wrote Embodiment, has landed Carpenter as an executive producer for his next directorial project, The Hell Within.

Here are the details according to Variety:

The Hell Within, which is penned by Jeff Buhler, tells the story of a woman who goes on a quest into the heart of a Brazilian jungle to save a girl, only to discover that the girl was bait.

Barry Films will produce the pic, based on Ramalho's original idea, together with Storm King Productions' Sandy King.

The project is structured as a Brazilian-German co-production and is set to lens in the Amazon jungle in Brazil.

You can definitely count on us to keep a close eye on this one so stay tuned for more as it comes.

You rock, Creepy!

Keep it flowing, you can sleep when you're dead. Or maybe not if you rise as a zombie.

It's good we have Carpenter making a triumphant return. I wonder if Tobe Hooper will make an effort to reboot his career too.
