Leatherface 3D to Saw Its Way to Theatres?

Well, it had to happen sooner or later. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise is revving up for another entry that will find everyone's favorite flesh-wearing maniac slicing his way out of the big screen.

According to Bloody Disgusting, in light of there not being a new Saw film in theatres next year, franchise producer Mark Burg will be joining Carl Mazzocone in bringing a new massacre to theaters. Word has it that Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures are putting the finishing touches on Debra Marcus and Adam Sullivan's screenplay for Leatherface 3D.

If they really wanna go for a whole new experience, we think they should go full 4D and have folks tossing rotten meat at the crowd for the duration of the flick's runtime. Or maybe partner with GWAR. Look for more soon.

If PD has nothing to do with this why include their Leatherface? Meh, I could care less about more Leatherface, I'm about done with the character.

I'd love to see Tobe Hooper take this and do something fun with it.

Maybe pair him up with David J. Schow and see what they can do if they go full out.
