Well, that didn’t take long at all. As expected, there will be a fifth installment in the Paranormal Activity franchise coming next October so here’s hoping the powers-that-be can correct some of the problems present in the now playing Paranormal Activity 4.
The news comes via Deadline, who reports that Paramount is continuing its Paranormal Activity franchise for a 5th installment that will advance the story produced by Jason Blum and Oren Pell timed to Halloween 2013.
Even more interesting, they’ve also uncovered additional details regarding the film’s proposed Latino-themed cousin. Screenwriter and director Christopher Landon will be bringing us the as of yet untitled movie. The spinoff will include the demon from the PA franchise and star mostly Latino actors and film partly in Spanish. ”This will be an off-shoot aimed at the groups who have been the biggest supporters of the property – Latinos and folks in Latin America – Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina,” a Paramount insider tells Deadline.
Stay tuned for more on both as it comes.
