More Behind-the-Scenes RoboCop Imagery Shows off the RoboCycle

Post Thumb:

More images from the Toronto set of RoboCop have shown up online and at this point all we want is something… hell, anything to make us say to ourselves, “Now that’s cool.” The following images, just like the ones before them, do NOT accomplish this goal.

Hopefully the final product when released will do the trick.

Jose Padilha’s film stars Joel Kinnaman as the title hero plus Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Jay Baruchel, Michael Keaton, Michael Kenneth Williams, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Abbie Cornish, Aimee Garcia, and Jackie Earle Haley.

Currently RoboCop has a tentative release date of August 9th, 2013.

In RoboCop the year is 2029, and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the centre of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe, and now they want to bring this technology to the home front.

Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father, and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes its remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life.

He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

    Definitely looking forward to this.

Will your review of this remake come out at the same time as your long awaited Total Recall review? Meaning never? I’m surprisingly okay with that.

  • JB Demented

As much as Im against this remake, I have to admit thats a sick looking bike.

  • Shambling_in_Bandages

For a movie that’s supposedly “updating” that “old” 1980s Verhoeven film, its central designs sure look as though KITT and Street Hawk fucked and had black plastic kids with glowing red Cylon lights…

That’s a pretty kick ass bike.

Not for RoboCop. Did they completely miss the fucking point of a bankrupt Detroit?! Why the fuck would OCP waste money on giving the cops cool, high-tech bikes and cars when it’s not necessary?! The vehicles should look like ass; just like the original film’s Taurus.
