Scream 4/Wes Craven Update -- Sort Of
On the red carpet at last night's Golden Globe Awards, Courteney Cox and David Arquette fielded yet another question about Wes Craven's involvement in the upcoming Scream 4, and while one of them was pretty confident about the director returning for the sequel, the other wasn't quite so sure.
MTV posed the question to the power couple, and here's their response:
"Yes, Wes [Craven] is in, Neve [Campbell] is in, everyone is in," Arquette said..."I know they're trying to make that work," Cox said, referring to bringing the "Nightmare on Elm Street" creator back on to direct. "They'll make it work," she said, quickly adding, "I hope."
"I can't wait to do another 'Scream,'" David told MTV. If all goes according to plan, the cameras will start rolling sometime in April.
Meanwhile, it looks like the script could be just about ready if scribe Kevin Williamson's tweets are any indication:

Yeah I'm still in the opinion that NOES was the only watchable film he's ever made.

I can't stand Wes Craven. His movies are so awful. NOES is the only movie he's directed that's watchable.
As for Scream 4, I'll choose to pass on it. I can't take anymore of the whodunnit self-referential hipper than thou crap.
