Grindstone Entertainment Acquires Patrick Rea’s Horror-Thriller Nailbiter

Nailbiter (2012)SenoReality Pictures and Ministry Machine Productions have announced that Grindstone Entertainment Group has acquired their feature film Nailbiter for North America to be released by Lionsgate Home Entertainment.

The award-winning horror-thriller has screened at such festivals as the Palm Beach International Film Festival, Omaha Film Festival, AMC Kansas City Film Fest, and Chicago Fear Fest. It recently won Best Feature, Best Director, and Best of the Fest at Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, Kentucky. The film will be screening at the Dragon*Con Independent Film Festival, which runs August 31st-September 3rd.

Nailbiter (review here) tells the story of a mother and her three daughters (Erin McGrane, Meg Saricks, Emily Boresow, Sally Spurgeon), who are on their way to the airport to pick up their father when they are caught up in a Kansas tornado. The family members are forced to take shelter in a seemingly innocent storm cellar but are trapped inside. They soon find that they are not alone.

Patrick Rea directed the film from a screenplay by Kendal Sinn. Nailbiter was produced by Patrick Rea, Aaron Laue (Last Breath), Ryan S. Jones, Hanuman Brown-Eagle, and Kendal Sinn.
