Vampires Reign Supreme at People's Choice Awards
The horror genre, especially at it relates to television, had quite a good showing at tonight's People's Choice Awards with vampires, both sparkling and otherwise, reigning supreme.
Thanks to Chiff.com you can peruse the entire list of winners, but here are the ones that should be of the most interest:
TV Obsession: True Blood
TV Sci-Fi/Fantasy: Supernatural
New TV Drama: The Vampire Diaries
Breakout Movie Actor: Taylor Lautner, The Twilight Saga
On-Screen Team: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, The Twilight Saga
Movie Franchise: The Twilight Saga
Favorite Movie: Twilight
The winner in the Independent Movie category -- in which both District 9 and Paranormal Activity were nominated -- was Inglourious Basterds (definitely not horror but a well deserving and totally kickass flick just the same).

Everything was going so well for Universal's big budget remake of The Wolfman. After a promising trailer and its receipt of the much coveted R rating, we were starting to get a good vibe ... until today when reports of two different cuts being readied surfaced. Fortunately that rumor has been dubunked.

Excuse me....was this the People's Choice or the Teen Choice awards? Perhaps even the Kids Choice Awards? From all that Twilight love, I'm getting a distinctly Nickelodeon vibe here.

People just flat out shouldn't be allowed to watch movies anymore. You should get a badge for being hardcore or a movie buff and only then should you be allowed in the theatre.

Fucking Twilight, motherfucking Twilight. This is why I refuse to watch awards shows. People can't be trusted.
