A New Poster for The Road

Fortunately, its November 25th release date hasn't changed again; instead, we get a new, albeit rather generic, poster for John Hillcoat's adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road.

Check out most of it below; click the image to visit Yahoo! Movies, where you can see the whole thing.

A New Poster for John Hillcoat's The Road

The Road starring Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Robert Duvall, and Garret Dillahunt is the epic post-apocalyptic tale of a journey taken by a father (Mortensen) and his young son (newcomer Kodi Smit-McPhee) across a barren landscape that was blasted by an unnamed cataclysm that destroyed civilization and most life on earth.

Mortensen looks like Rob Zombie's Michael Myers in that pic.

With the Weinstein Company's money troubles as bad as they are I'm surprised they could even afford this simple Photoshop poster.

I wonder how long until we read about another studio buying the picture outright, since the Brothers "Whine"-stein couldn't even afford to market their last two pictures without help from Universal.

Hell, they're not even releasing "Inglourious Basterds" on DVD! Universal, which has foreign distribution rights, will be releasing it on DVD stateside! The writing may be on the wall for The Weinstein Company.

'JUST DESSERTS' is what that writing says. Given how many people those two have ruined with their inhuman treatment of artists and film-makers, going bankrupt it the most merciful punishment imaginable for those two assholes! Good riddance, I say.
