NEWS
Drummer Bill Ward will officially not be participating in the Black Sabbath reunion. Read his latest statement on the matter here. Tommy Clufetos (of Ozzy Osbourne‘s band) will be filling in.

The Devil Wears Prada will release a live CD/DVD entitled Dead&Alive on June 26 via Ferret Music.

Demon Hunter guitarist Ryan Helm has left the band to focus on his solo project, Damien Deadson.

Century Media Records has signed Swedish black metal legends Dark Funeral for a three album deal. The band will release a new album entitled In the Sign of the Horns next year.

Testament will release Dark Roots of Earth on July 31 via Nuclear Blast Records. The artwork and tracklisting can be found here.

David Bowie‘s classic 1972 concept album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars, will be re-released as a remastered 40th anniversary edition on June 5.

Stream Sonata Artica‘s new album, Stones Grow Her Name, here. The latest from the Finnish power metallers is out this week via Nuclear Blast Records.

Download a new Rise to Remain song entitled “Heartless” for free here. It is one of four bonus tracks from the U.S. version of the band’s debut album, City of Vultures, which hits stores on June 5 through Century Media Records.

Listen to a new Verse song entitled “The Selfless of the Earth” here. The hardcore band’s first album since regrouping, Bitter Clarity, Uncommon Grace, will be available on July 17 via Bridge Nine Records.

Watch a lyric video for a new For the Fallen Dreams song entitled “Hollow” here. The band’s new album, Wasted Youth, will be released on July 17 via Artery Recordings.

Watch Miss May I‘s live video for “Masses of a Dying Breed” here. The band already has a music video for the track, but this one features live and backstage footage from their stint on The Recorruptour 2012.

Watch Mychildren Mybride‘s music video for “God of Nothing” here. The band’s self-titled third album will be released on March 13 via Solid State Records.

TOURS
Riot Fest 2012 will take place on September 14-16 at Humboldt Park and Congress Theater in Chicago, IL. Performers include Rise Against, Iggy & the Stooges, Elvis Costello, Descendents, Dropkick Murphys, The Offspring, A Day to Remember, Coheed and Cambria, NOFX and more. Details can be found here.
