Some quick news coming out of Cannes for the long talked about feature film version of the indie project Raze. Originally conceived as a web series, Raze has gotten a lot of notice at the famed film market. Read on for the latest details.

Screen Daily reports that Quincy Pictures has joined Cosmic Toast Studios on the previously announced horror project Raze, starring Zoe Bell (Kill Bill, Grindhouse) and Rachel Nichols (Star Trek, P2, The Amityville Horror). The film will be directed and produced by Josh C. Waller from a script by Robert Beaucage; production is set to begin in June.

Raze focuses on two abducted women and 50 other women who are forced to fight each other using their bare hands, all for the sadistic enjoyment of an elite, voyeuristic society that follows one rule — “Fight or Die.
