First Footage from John Carpenter’s The Ward

default-featured-image

It’s been around a decade since John Carpenter last got behind the camera for a big screen film. As huge Carpenter fans, we couldn’t have been happier to learn about his latest endeavor, The Ward. Finally a bit of footage has been posted online, and we’ve got your road map for where to look.

The film, which stars Jared Harris (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Mamie Gummer (Taking Woodstock), and Lyndsy Fonseca (Kick-Ass) joining Amber Heard (All the Boys Love Mandy Lane) and Danielle Panabaker (that shitty Friday the 13th remake) and was written by Michael and Shawn Rasmussen, is an intense psychological thriller set in a mental institution where a young woman, Kristen (Heard), is haunted by a mysterious and deadly ghost. As danger creeps closer, she comes to realize that this ghost might be darker than she ever could have imagined.

The video appeared exclusively on canalplus and is in French, but has that ever stopped you before? The Ward stuffage begins at one minute and thirty seconds in. Click the image below to dig on it!

Thanks to DC reader rjmacready for the heads-up.
