A Birdemic of Shock and Terror and Romance

Remember when bird flu was going to kill us all? How'd that work out for ya? Now it's swine flu, but don't tell that to b-movie makers because death by pig is a bit harder to take seriously than death by bird for some reason. Birdemic does not feature a virus, unless the American Medical Association has officially declared Alfred Hitchcock Rip-off Syndrome a legitimate disorder.

"A platoon of eagles and vultures attack the residents of a small town. Many people died. It's not known what caused the flying menace to attack. Two people managed to fight back, but will they survive Birdemic?"

Filmmaker James Nguyen describes his shock and terror killer bird flick as a romantic thriller. Nguyen would know; he's the self-described "Master of the Romantic Thriller" despite having two other credits to his name, according to IMDB. The Rom-Thrill Master posts on the official Birdemic website, "I am excited to release this unique and unconventional teaser trailer in HD. It's pure cinema. We have begin production, and Birdemic is the most challenging romantic thriller that I have ever directed. Why did the eagles and vultures attack? Will the protagonists live or die?"

Yeah, that synopsis just screams romance. Not since Titanic...

Here's the trailer for his ultra low budget epic. It screams "Where's my Sega Light Gun?"

Hat tip to Quiet Earth for their bird-watching skills.
