It's hard to decide what to cover here on Dread Central, so we try and do it all even if at times it's a little bit fringy. Just trying to make sure all horror fans are covered. When news of Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island broke, we were a bit on the fence, but after this trailer? We are SO on board!
The film, written by Laeta Kalogridis and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Patricia Clarkson, and Max von Sydow, centers on the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels and Chuck Aule, who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island's fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.

Marty's a big horror fan, and while this film isn't necessarily a horror film, as the term is thrown around these days, I've got hopes for this...and also let's hope this wets his appetite for making a horror film like he's undoubtedly wanted to make since the early 60's...

Leo is usually maudlin poop (ooh, now there's a band name)in my opinion, but this indeed looks mighty cool. Scorsese doing something akin to a horror film? Ba Da Bing!
