Clancy Brown Joins Nightmare Remake Cast

In what's shaping up to be more of a dream cast than any kind of nightmare for director Samuel Bayer, Platinum Dunes' Nightmare on Elm Street reboot just added another long-time genre fave to its roster: the inimitable Clancy Brown.
Bloody-Disgusting got word today that Brown has been cast as a character named "Allan". There are no details yet on exactly how Allan plays into Freddy Krueger's plans, but I doubt it'll be pretty.
Things rarely are in Springwood.

Ha, ha. I've heard Freddy is much like he was in the original in the remake. So, no lame puns unless they decide to add some to the script...which would be stupid.

no slight to Mr. Brown I think he's a really good actor, I just really hope this doesn't turn into a rampant cameofest like some other remake that shall not be named.

I really don't think that is what they are doing with this. I feel like this is a solid addition to the cast that could add a really strong addition to this movie.
