Gossip. We hate it, but at least this time there’s a happy ending. A few weeks ago it was reported that production had ground to a halt on the new Riddick flick because of some outstanding financial woes. Today we have a glorious update.
According to TMZ Michel Trudel, who owns the Montreal studio where the film was being shot, LOCKED OUT the cast and crew after complaining that he hadn’t gotten paid. But things have FINALLY changed … so says Trudel, who claims the production company recently paid up … and he’s willing to allow the flick to pick up where it left off.
Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.
