Are you ready for a giant shark that can walk on land? Are you ready to see a giant shark walk on land? Then you’re ready for Super Shark? If you’re not, you better get ready because this whale of a killer that makes Jaws look like Flipper is surfacing on DVD in early February.
An offshore drilling accident triggers the release of a giant prehistoric shark. When marine biologist Kat Carmichael (Sarah Lieving) arrives, she runs up against corporate frontman Roger Wade (John Schneider, The Dukes Of Hazard, Smallville, Desperate Housewives), who plots with Stewart (Jerry Lacy, Dark Shadows) to disrupt her investigation.
With the help of Skipper Chuck (Tim Abell, Soldier of Fortune, Inc.) and disc jockey Dynamite Stevens (Jimmie “J.J.” Walker, Good Times), Kat tries to find a way to defeat the monster, which has evolved to a state where it can walk on dry land and fly… it’s the Super Shark! The latest in retro-monster moviemaking from cult director Fred Olen Ray (Dino Wolf) features a cameo by R&B music legend Harvey Scales.
BayView Entertainment will unleash Fred Olen Ray’s Super Shark upon the movie-watching world on February 7th. DVD extras will include a blooper reel, trailers, and a music video.
Music video? Would it perhaps be this must-see blacksploitation-style Super Shark music video composed by Harvey Scales? A future B-Sides if ever there was one.
