Here There Be Monsters. Where Be Robert Zemeckis?

Back in July we told you about a little flick called Here There Be Monsters, a movie about Revolutionary War Naval hero John Paul Jones and his battles with sea monsters. At that time Robert Zemeckis was involved with steering the ship, but apparently that ship has sailed.

According to SFX and producer Todd Lieberman, they are “talking about potential directors. Robert is not officially involved anymore. It could be a great, historical, epic, fun sea monster movie – something I’ve never done before.”

Brian Helgeland (Mystic River, Green Zone, Robin Hood) was hired by Legendary Pictures to pen the script. We’ll keep an eye on these troubled waters to see if anything more comes from them.
