The only good bug … is a dead bug. Who could ever forget those words? If you’re a fan of the Starship Troopers franchise, have we got some good news for you! Another flick is on its way from Sony Pictures Entertainment … well, sort of. Read on for the skinny!

Below you’ll find the first bit of teaser art for Starship Troopers: Invasion, an ALL-NEW CG animated film. Details are extremely scant thus far, but you know we’ll be keeping an eye on things for you.

It may not be live action, but damnit, the poster is sweet! Let’s just hope it doesn’t take the weirdo Christian turn the last flick did. Talk about out of place! Don’t get us wrong; we love J.C., and if push came to shove, we’re sure he’d have some slick bug stomping skills. Either way, look for more soon!

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

Man I still remember ‘Starship Troopers: Roughneck Chronicles'; one of the first totally CG shows. Found it on Netflix instant Q last summer and watched it. Oh Lordi Lordi Lord….did not age well.

Could not fucking agree more. I loved that show when I was a kid, and I saw the whole show on DVD like 5 years back, picked it up and watched through it.

Yeah….funny how age can ruin things for you. Not a good show. Has moments…but not many.

On the other hand, Beast Wars still holds up, and is in my mind one of the best “kids” shows ever made. That shit is dark for a children’s show, especially come the second and third season.

Yeah, animation was choppy, reuse of sound effects, lacking sound/animation at the right moment. Voice acting was okay though.

I might still pick it up if I find it cheap enough, it was an enjoyable part of my childhood. Maybe I’m just nostalgic.
