Instead of focusing on whatever happened the night the Lutz family fled, Ryan Katzenbach’s new film, Shattered Hopes – The True Story of the Amityville Murders, is a docudrama concerning the tragedy that befell the Defeo family.
Narrated by Edward Asner and starring Jon Huybrecht, Jon Southwell, Susannah Hart Jones, and a host of real life medical examiners and investigators, Shattered Hopes – The True Story of the Amityville Murders is looking to prove that truth can be way more terrifying than fiction.
