From the Press Release
Rodrigo Gudiño, publisher turned award-winning filmmaker, has announced that pre-production for his first feature, The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh, has commenced in Toronto. The film has been fast-tracked for release in 2012, prior to his highly anticipated Cut Throats Nine remake, which will follow.

Written and directed by Gudiño, the film centers on an antiques collector who inherits a house from his estranged mother only to discover that she had been living in a shrine devoted to a mysterious cult of angels.

As night falls, he comes to suspect that his mother’s oppressive spirit still lingers within her home and is using items in the house – especially the statues of angels – to contact him with an urgent message. The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh will feature a strikingly original narrative technique that glimpses into the psychology of spirits.

“I’m exploring new ways of telling a story,” says Gudiño. “This film will be ambitious in this regard, and I expect it will linger afterwards, especially when audiences find themselves alone in their home.”

The film commences shooting in October in one of Toronto’s most unusual homes and best kept secrets, and it will feature cinematography by Derek Rogers (Cube, Resident Evil: Apocalypse) and FX work by Kyle Glencross (300, Dawn of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World).

The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh will be produced by Marco Pecota (Curious Stories, Crooked Symbols) for Rue Morgue Cinema.
