Our video interview series for Marcus Nispel’s Conan the Barbarian continues today with the star of the show, Jason Momoa. When it comes to taking on an iconic character like Conan, you need a true badass to breathe life into one of the most popular warriors of all time, and he more than fits the bill.
If you’re a fan of HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” then I don’t really need to tell you that Momoa (who played Khal Drogo in the series) is poised to become the next leading action star once Conan the Barbarian gets released by Lionsgate in theaters later this week.
Recently Dread Central had the opportunity to sit down and talk with rising star Momoa about the extensive training process involved in order for him to embody the character of Conan as he was originally envisioned by writer Robert E. Howard almost 80 years ago. We also had an opportunity to ask Momoa about his plans for future Conan cinematic adventures as it was recently announced the actor took it upon himself to write a treatment for a Conan the Barbarian sequel.
Check out our exclusive video interview with Momoa below, and look for more on Conan the Barbarian coming your way soon!
