Vampire Ball of Florida Beckons to the Creatures of the Night

Are you drawn to the vampire lifestyle? Do you drink red wine more for the imagery it creates than the taste or intoxication? Have you spent more than a car payment on custom-made fangs? Do you sleep in a coffin, or would if one were readily available? Then, my little bloodsuckers, I’ve got just the event for you.

On Saturday, October 1, in Hollywood, Florida, Electrolust Hollywood will present the Endless Night Vampire Ball of Florida. There will also be a pre-party held on Friday, September 30. Those of you who have not yet had the opportunity to attend a Vampire Ball may be asking, “What can I expect to see when attending a Vampire Ball?” I’m glad you asked.

To answer that question, we’ll draw right from the Vampire Ball of Florida website. The site explains: “This is a premier alternative, gothic, fetish, VAMPYRE and costume party that’s dedicated to and for those drawn to the vampire archetype either in lifestyle, spirituality or fandom. All are welcome as long as they come in proper attire and with the right mind.

We are a PRIVATE event and aim to please a very like-minded crowd with performers, shows, DJs and environment which is about what we are. Sounds like it gets pretty racy! If you were planning on wearing your favorite Twilight shirt to this event, you’re probably not what they’re looking for as far as attendees are concerned.

This is a full-blown vampire party, people! Remember that opening club scene in Blade? Imagine something like that but without the people spontaneously bursting into flames. (I think we can safely assume there will be no one spontaneously bursting into flames, right?…right?!)

What about entertainment, you ask? They’ve got entertainment lined up in spades. Among the scheduled performers are vampyre belly dancers, live music, DJs, contests, fire spinners, Cabaret Vampyra’s slave auction, and burlesque and fetish shows. The fun begins with the pre-party on Friday at 8pm (fangs are not required, but recommended) and carries on throughout the weekend. Drink up!
