Have you ever wondered what goes through the mind of a horror legend? Thanks to the magic that is Twitter, on July 8th you’ll have the chance to pick the brain of John Carpenter, the man who brought us Halloween, The Thing and the upcoming chiller John Carpenter’s The Ward.
When you talk horror heavyweights, Carpenter has to be included in the conversation. His filmography reads like a textbook on the genre. He created Michael Myers, breathed life into Snake Plissken and even managed to tame Rowdy Roddy Piper. Carpenter has been conjuring nightmares for over 40 years, and this is your chance to ask that burning question you just have to know. John Carpenter’s The Ward, a psychological thriller about a young woman locked in a mysterious mental institution in the 1960s, marks iconic horror master John Carpenter’s first feature film in over ten years.
Kristen (Amber Heard), a beautiful but troubled young woman, finds herself bruised, cut, drugged, and held against her will in a remote ward of a psychiatric hospital. She is completely disoriented, with no idea why she was brought to this place and no memory of her life before being admitted. All she knows is that she isn’t safe.
ARC Entertainment will release John Carpenter’s The Ward (review here) in Los Angeles and New York, Denver, Miami, Chicago, New Orleans, Boston, Houston, Minneapolis and Dallas on July 8th, 2011.
