If the plot to Terror Trap sounds familiar to you, it might be because the upcoming Jeff Fahey/Michael Madsen/David James Elliot thriller is such a blatant rip-off of Vacancy even The Asylum would be dumbstruck by how much it copycats.
Terror Trap (review here) stars David James Elliot of “J.A.G.” as one half of a squabbling married couple forced to get a room at a fleabag motel where maniacs Jeff Fahey and Michael Madsen run a snuff movie operation. The married couple fights to survive the night, healing their fractured marriage in the process. No, that doesn’t sound familiar at all.
Terror Trap is brought to us by filmmaker Dan Garcia. I just reviewed another movie, Flesh Wounds (review here), he made coming to DVD next month, a shameless Predator rip-off. It’s hard not to notice a pattern developing.
Phase 4 Films is set to release Terror Trap onto DVD shelves September 27th. The only extra will be the film’s trailer.
