Oren Peli is good at taking every day situations and twisting them into nightmares by injecting a healthy dosage of the supernatural. As we told you previously, this summer the director will be working on an all new haunt, and some additional details have been revealed.
There’s no title yet, but the Paranormal Activity creator will be trying his hand as the post-apocalyptic subgenre with a story that focuses on “a group of friends stranded in an eerie and desolate city. Years before in the aftermath of a nuclear disaster, nature has begun to reclaim everything. As the sun sets on this radioactive ghost town, inhuman cries cut through the night air. It seems they are not alone.”
Peli is set to write and produce. He directed and produced Paranormal Activity and produced the sequel. He also directed and wrote the upcoming Paramount acquisition Area 51 and produced Barry Levinson’s eco-horror The Bay, which Lionsgate will release in the US.
Look for more on this one soon.
