DVD and Blu-ray Releases: August 8, 2017

Hello again and welcome back, fiends. We have another pretty decent sized list, with only a few discrepancies to talk about. While you may have seen some copies of it already floating around since July 25th, Re-Animator is scheduled for a release today. You can check out a full list of the special features on the Re-Animator Blu-ray here.
Additionally, the double feature of The Night of the Sorcerers / The Loreley’s Grasp may have already been on shelves since July 18th, but it popped up on my radar again for today.
If you happen to watch MTV in any capacity, there’s a strong chance you know who Farrah Abraham is. Whether you love her or you hate her, she managed to get a main role in a horror movie, Adam K, and that movie is coming out this week. For more information on Adam K, click here.
There are actually not a lot of classics being released this week, but there are plenty of good newer movies dropping. Some of the newer titles you may want to check out this week include: The Transfiguration (which you can actually win a free copy of here), Dead Story, and Three Tears on Bloodstained Flesh.
Remember to keep checking back each week, especially the closer we get to Halloween. As it stands, not counting this week, there over 194 releases between now and then, so we will have plenty of titles to discuss. We will see you next week, and as always, pleasant viewing.

Adam K (2017)

A group of explorers arrive in Africa to study the wildlife in the same area where a brutal native ritual occurred in 1910. From there, a nightmare will be awakened … a nightmare of zombie natives and scantily-clad vampire women who prowl the moonlight jungle in search of fresh blood and more victims to sacrifice.
The Loreley’s Grasp
In a town by the Rhine river, young women are turning up dead … savagely torn to pieces and their hearts missing. Concerned that whatever beast is doing these horrible murders will end up attacking the female students, a nearby school for women hires a hunter to find and kill the creature. The hunter will soon find out that this is no ordinary beast that craves human hearts, but rather a deceptive, alluring and mysterious being (The Loreley) who is already looking for another heart to use in a gruesome ancient ritual.
