Those living in the Boston area are (hopefully) aware of the wonderful programming supplied by the Coolidge Corner Theater. Last year they gave residents a chance to catch The Human Centipede on the big screen, and now they’re looking to step it up a notch with midnight screenings of A Serbian Film in an NC-17, 35 mm version.

And it’s happening this weekend!

Coolidge Corner is kicking off a pretty awesome marathon of programming (more on that soon) with director Srdjan Spasojevic’s controversial allegory, A Serbian Film, this Friday and Saturday (May 27th and 28th) at 11:59 PM. Tickets are a bargain at $9.00 apiece.

You’ll be seeing the somewhat ‘edited’ version of the film in a 35mm NC-17 version in Moviehouse 1. Rest assured, this sucker still packs quite a punch. Those interested in grabbing tickets can do so here or at the door this weekend. And make sure to dig on the official Coolidge After Midnite Facebook page and follow them on Twitter for all the latest and greatest. And keep watching this space as we’ll be co-sponsoring some great screenings throughout the month of June that you’d be foolish to miss.

Stay tuned!
