Some Really Vile Stills and Artwork

Post Thumb:

Torture porn. People are still making these movies. Even more perplexing people are still watching these movies. Still, every now and again a good one comes around. Let’s just hope the new flick from Taylor Sheridan, Vile, is one of the good ones.

Below you’ll find the first stills and artwork from the flick which stars Eric Jay Beck, April Matson, and Akeem Smith. For more keep your eyes plucked out with a rusty pair of needle-nose pliers and then glued for the official Vile website, which should be launching soon. We’ll update you once it’s live.

Eight strangers wake up in a house. There is no way out of the house. The only way they can survive is to generate a drug that the human body only creates when it senses pain. A lot of pain.

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

Please don’t use the term ‘torture porn’. It cheapens the entire genre and lends credence to the hate directed at it. And it is a wildly inaccurate representation. It was created by someone who is not in the horror film community. Thanks.

Some of us don’t mind the tern anymore.

Embracing it removes some of the negative power its creator had in mind for it.

If it is a torture based movie, why not call it torture porn and not worry about what the people outside of the industry think about it.

Some of the so-called tortured porn is actually some quick spooky, gross-out work.

Okay so let’s get this straight …

The film itself is titled “Vile” and the promo stills feature one dude strapped to a table with a ball gag in his mouth, and another of a chick standing in front of some contraption with saw blades on it, and you’re worrying about the now commonplace term of “torture porn” cheapening the genre?

Sorry but this doesn’t exactly come across as high art.
