There’s no question about it the sequel to Paranormal Activity just shouldn’t have worked. Yet, it did. Lightning struck twice and Paranormal Activity 2 went on to become a huge success. A bit of news has surfaced today concerning the third film in the franchise and as always we have it for you here.

Deadline is reporting that Chris Landon, the screenwriter who penned Paranormal Activity 2 is returning to script Paranormal Activity 3. This is unconfirmed at the moment but it seems to be solid.

Paranormal Activity 3 will be in theatres on October 21, 2011! After a truly stellar second entry, the question beckons will the third time be the charm? One thing is for sure; the pressure is on for the makers of this film.

Will we find out what those scratches on the door meant? What about the whereabouts of Katie and Hunter? Stay tuned, folks! Things are about to get really interesting!

Send me the pitch for P3… and then I’ll watch “Insidious” again! That way my curiosity will be sated, but I’ll get to watch something far more interesting, entertaining and creepy!

I want to see what they’re going to do with part three. Loved parts one and two.

Hey there T, I was wondering where you’d gone… Hope you’re doing well. So you liked P2? That kind of surprises me. I thought it was a real let down! What did you like?
