Any lady who can handle the advances of a giant gorilla is okay in our book! New casting news has come in for FX’s latest genre show, “American Horror Story”, and we have all the details you need right here awaiting your perusal.
Deadline is reporting that Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have tapped Jessica Lange to star in a lead role. This marks the first foray into TV series for the two-time Oscar winner.
She’s set to co-star opposite Connie Britton and Denis O’Hare in the pilot for FX. Murphy is set to direct the pilot from 20th Century Fox, which will shoot next month, after Murphy and Falchuk wrap production on “Glee”.
While details on “American Horror Story” remain sparse, FX chief John Landgraf was particularly enthusiastic about its prospects in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter earlier this week, calling the project a “really complicated, interesting psychological horror show … incredibly ambitious. It could define or redefine the genres that [it’s] in.”
More on this as it comes.
