I’ve been saying it forever. Screw living in the woods. Screw visiting the woods. Screw walking by the woods. Screw camping. Oh, and screw everyone who even insinuates that we should head out into the woods for a weekend getaway. Bad things happen in the woods. Bad, bad things.
Below you’ll find the first artwork and stills for Patricio Valladares’ flick Hidden in the Woods or En Las Afueras De La Ciudad. This horror film that mixes drama and action was shot over the course of 14 days. It is currently in post production for release in Chile later this year.
Synopsis
Chilean director Patricio Valladares was inspired by true events of multiple murder cases which transpired over the last several years. Ana and Anny are two sisters who have been raised in isolation under the atrocity of drug dealing and the incestuous obsession of their grim father. When they, tired of the abuse, call the police, he kills two officers and is put in jail. Free from their father, the girls now will have to escape from Tío Costello, the local drug lord trying to recover a large amount of drugs hidden in the woods.
