Addison Timlin, Odd ThomasAnd the circle of talent who have their eyes set on nabbing a role for the upcoming Stephen Sommers adaptation of Dean R. Koontz’s Odd Thomas has grown bigger by one. One very pretty one.

According to Variety, Addison Timlin (pictured right; “Californication”) is finally in negotiations to play the female lead opposite Anton Yelchin in the big screen adaptation, which also saw such other hot prospects as Emma Roberts (Scream 4), Lily Collins (Priest), Kat Dennings, and Portia Doubleday vying for the part of “Stormy Llewellyn”, the girlfriend of the title character in the supernatural thriller.

In the books Odd Thomas is silently approached by the ghost of a young girl brutally raped and murdered, and through his unique ability to understand the dead, he is psychically led to her killer, a former schoolmate named Harlo Landerson. With this opening, we are introduced to Odd’s world. Koontz soon discloses how Odd was named and begins, layer by layer, to show how Odd’s dysfunctional upbringing has shaped his life; and as those details are uncovered, his supernatural abilities begin to make more sense.
