Caesar Lives in First Rise of the Apes Teaser Image

The line between human and damned dirty ape is indeed a thin one. One that no doubt one day will be crossed when we blow it all up and the apes inherit the Earth. That’s kind of the way things go in the new Planet of the Apes film, Rise of the Apes, and we’ve got your first look at the kingpin runnin’ this here monkey farm.

Set in San Francisco, Rise of the Apes revolves around man’s experiments with genetic engineering that lead to a dramatic increase in the intelligence of apes and the onset of war for supremacy. Rupert Wyatt is directing from a script by Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa.
The great Andy Serkis plays the ape Ceasar, and the film also stars John Lithgow, Freida Pinto, Brian Cox, Tom Felton, and David Hewlett.
Look for Rise of the Apes in theatres on August 5th, 2011.
