Super 8 Interactive Trailer Yields Creature Origins?

We knew there would be some interesting things to come out of the Super 8 interactive video, but we didn’t think something this tasty would show up. Get ready for your first look at what could be the creature.
Over on Latino Review they’ve discovered at least one incarnation of the film’s alien life form. One that’s a bit on the Flubber / The Blob side of the fence. Dig on the image below, and hit up that link for their theories.
Personally? I don’t want a blob. The thought of a gelatinous ball bouncing around in that container from the first teaser trailer just feels silly. If it does start off this way, let’s hope it evolves into something else. We need more giant monsters, damnit!

Synopsis
In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
