Violence Gets the Green Light with Powers

The talks are over and everything is finally official for the new TV show for FX based on the popular comic by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, “Powers”, and we have all the details for you right here, free of oozing entrails.

According to The Hollywood Reporter FX has given the green light to “Powers” with some decent sized names attached!

Charles Eglee (“The Walking Dead”, “The Shield”) wrote the pilot and will serve as an executive producer with Bendis, Oeming, Michael Dinner, David Engel and Circle of Confusion, the company behind “The Walking Dead”. Dinner, who helmed the “Sons of Anarchy” and “Justified” pilots, will also direct.

Powers follows the lives of Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, homicide detectives who investigate cases involving “powers” (people with superhuman abilities) in a world where superheroes and supervillains are common.

Dig on a sampling of powers gone bad below, and look for more soon!

The talent involved makes this one sound very promising. Justified is now part of my tv habit.
