Nevermore Comic on the Way from Steve Niles and Jeffrey Combs

While poking around Steve Niles’ website in connection with the Lance Henriksen autobiography story we ran a few minutes ago, we came across another juicy tidbit that we just had to share: The prolific writer is joining forces with Jeffrey Combs for a comic book version of Combs’ one-man play Nevermore.

Here’s what Niles had to say about the project on his SteveNiles.com website: “[It] has been in the works for over a year but is now locked. Combs and I are producing a comic book version of his one-man show about Edgar Allan Poe called NEVERMORE. Stuart Gordon who directed the show is also helping. IDW will be publishing.

The Nevermore … An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe stage production is loosely based on real events and follows Poe on a cross-country speaking tour fraught with strange occurrences that signal his descent into madness. Considering it played to sold-out audiences at every stop, the demand for the comic should be high, and we cannot wait to see what the team of Niles, Combs, Gordon, and IDW come up with!

Keep it here for more soon.
