Simon Barrett and Adam Wingard Readying Masked Maniacs for You’re Next!

Meeting your significant other’s parents for the first time is never easy. In fact it’s one of the most pressure-filled experiences you’re likely to have. If only we could all have some masked lunatics interrupt said introductions, life, or death for that matter, would be so much easier.

According to Bloody Disgusting the team behind A Horrible Way to Die, writer Simon Barrett (Red Sands, Dead Birds) and director Adam Wingard (Pop Skull), are reteaming to take on the slasher genre with You’re Next!

Though details are scant at the moment, we do know that You’re Next will follow a grad student – when meeting her boyfriend’s family for the first time – who must rely on her past as the daughter of survivalists to save the day when a gang of masked murders attacks to kill them all!

Shooting is scheduled for March 17th in Missouri.
