If you’re anything like me, the one remake you’ve been frothing at the mouth to see is Stephen R. Monroe’s I Spit on Your Grave. None of you are, though, which is why Howling II goes overlooked and remains underrated. Jerks. Nevertheless, the 2010 remake of Meir Zarchi’s rape/revenge classic is almost upon us, and Dark Delicacies is ushering it in with some real style.
In what can be chalked up as another reason for me to relocate to the West Coast, the world’s coolest horror book store, Dark Delicacies, will be hosting a DVD signing for I Spit on Your Grave on February 8th, and the event promises to be one worth attending. On hand will be director Stephen R. Monroe along with the film’s executive producer, and writer/director of the original, Meir Zarchi, and producer Lisa Hansen. From the cast Sarah Butler, Jeff Branson, Rodney Eastman, Daniel Franzese, and Chad Lindberg will be ready to put their pens to plastic.
This awesome event starts at 7 PM on Tuesday, February 8th, and the only thing you gotta do is show up ready to buy a copy of the new I Spit on DVD or Blu-ray. The cast/crew will sign that along with an additional item should you choose to bring one.
To make it extra easy for you, here’s everything you need to know to find Dark Delicacies:
Dark Delicacies Bookstore
3512 W. Magnolia Blvd.

It’s great that fans will finally have the chance to check out one of the few remakes that actually makes sense (taking a good, but flawed film and re-working the premise to improve upon those failings). And what better way to experience it than spending a few hours with the cast and crew before you take your disc for a spin?
