Originally slated to debut this spring, Ron Purtee’s The Social Media Massacre has debuted its first episode right now in the dead of winter! It’s never to early to have a massacre, is it?
The first episode of The Social Media Massacre is live,” announced Purtee. “Starring Valerie Meachum (Raymond Did It, Holiday Carvings) as a woman who has finally posted her final status update, the question is, will the people who comment believe her.” Ron continues, “Thanks to all the support in making this series a reality!”

The series is based on the short of the same name and will have a new killer or death based on social media every episode. The upcoming season is going to be 6 episodes to test the waters, and each episode will be no longer than 10 minutes.
