More fresh news about a long gestating project, the feature film adaptation of Steve Niles’ Wake the Dead, has come our way and we’re pretty giddy! Read on for the latest!
According to The LA Times Steve Niles has revealed that one of guitarist-turned-producer Slash’s first productions for his Slasher Films banner will be the live-action adaptation of his “Frankenstein” story Wake the Dead.
“We want to recapture the quality of horror like they made them in the ’70s,” says Niles. “Horror where you care about the characters and story. With ‘Wake the Dead,’ Jay Russell [who is still attached to direct], Slash and I hope to make a horror movie that sticks with you long after you’ve seen it.”
