Super 8 Will Play on the Super Screen

Ah, the IMAX experience. If only we could fit movie screens that big in the comfort of our own homes. Bigger truly is always better, but that inflated ticket price? Eh, not so much. In any event, if you don’t mind spending the extra cash ….
Paramount announced today that J.J. Abrams’ latest alien monster mash, Super 8, will be released in IMAX day-and-date along with the normal theatrical run. Giant monsters on giant screens? It just seems so right.
Look for the film starring Kyle Chandler, Elle Fanning, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Gabriel Basso, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, and AJ Michalka to be in theatres on June 10, 2011.
Super 8 tells the story of a bunch of kids who are shooting a movie with a Super 8 camera that notice upon viewing their footage that they’ve captured what appears to be an alien on film.
