Explosion on the Set of In the Name of the King 2 Injures Six

A bit of bad news coming in today from the Vancouver area as a propane explosion on the set of Uwe Boll’s In the Name of the King 2 has sent six people to a local hospital.

According to The Globe and Mail, the blast happened Tuesday afternoon in Golden Ears Provincial Park, east of Vancouver, on the set of the movie starring Dolph Lundgren. Six people suffered minor burns and one had a broken leg, said Chief Dane Spence of the Maple Ridge Fire Department.

“What made it a little difficult to diagnose these people is that many of them had black face paint on and medieval-type clothing from the movie set,” Chief Spence said in an interview. [He] said it appears the explosion happened as crews transferred propane from a tanker into portable containers. A hose came off the propane tank, and a nearby heater sparked a flash fire.

The sequel, according to a brief summary on the Internet Movie Database, follows the story of an modern-day ex-soldier who is sent to medieval times.

The RCMP and WorkSafeBC are both investigating.

Here’s hoping everyone recovers from their injuries soon!

This is the 2nd explosion on a Boll movie isn’t it? Didn’t something happen while shooting Bloodrayne 2?
