Universal executives will have some food for thought over the holiday break as they try and decide just who should be at the helm of their upcoming movie which focuses on the Hasbro board game Ouija, which is said to let you communicate with the other side.
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision Blog, director McG on Friday afternoon presented to Universal execs his vision for the project, which has a script by Tron: Legacy writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz and is being produced by Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes.
McG, who is back in town after wrapping Fox’s This Means War in Vancouver, is vying for the gig against The Crazies director Breck Eisner, who pitched his take on the material the previous week.
Even though the flick is supposed to be more adventurous and less spooky, we know whom we’d pick, and it’s not the guy who helped decide that Terminators didn’t terminate people. Still, we can’t help but wonder … if Uni is really having a tough time deciding who should be at the helm … WHY NOT JUST CONSULT THE DAMNED OUIJA BOARD?
Signs point to stay tuned.
