Sherwood Horror Sinks its Fangs into a Maid Marian

We’ve been bringing you news on the modern day Robin Hood with vampires flick Sherwood Horror for over a year now. Filming has still yet to commence. Today we were sent word that the film has finally found its Maid Marian — an actress I’ve never heard of.

Albanian actress Alma Saraci (Karma: Crime, Passion, Reincarnation and the upcoming Benjamin) is in talks for the female lead in Sherwood Horror, a contemporary set reimagining of the Robin Hood legend with a horror twist.
Ex-con Rob Locksley returns home after a six-year absence to find his town under the rule of vampires. He must join forces with his old roughneck hunting buddies to wage war against the evil Sheriff and his horde of blood-sucking minions.
Saraci will take on the role of Marian, an elitist vampire, who is taken hostage by Locksley and his companions and begins to see Rob as someone worthy of being by her side. Saraci joins a cast that includes DJ Perry, Bill McKinney, Taymour Ghazi, Terry Jernigan, Mike Powers, Paul Proios and Austin Two-Feathers.
Principal photography is expected to commence in Virginia in 2011. DJ Perry will produce under his production outfit Collective Development Inc. Vincent Guastini and his Los Angeles-based V.G.P. Effects & Design Studio will handle the FX. John Regan will direct from his own script.
As you can see from the photo, Miss Saraci is quite attractive. As you can see from the concept art, this Maid Marian is still going to look attractive even when made up to look like a “Dukes of Hazzard” vampire babe.
