Blood & Dust Trailer and One-Sheet Debut

As promised last week, Trickster Moon Productions has unveiled both the trailer and poster for its in-the-works short film “Blood & Dust”. In addition, they are taking a unique approach to the great and important task of raising funds to make their movie, more details of which follow.
Synopsis:
Based on a short story of the same name written by Morgan Elektra, “Blood & Dust” is a character driven short horror film about one young girl’s struggle to survive in the midst of apocalyptic events. It will be directed by Dean Sasser and feature high levels of adult content in the form of violence, sexual situations and gore.
She’s not the hot one. She’s not the smart one. She’s not the pure one. But when the world begins to fall into chaos around her, Riley Osborne is the one that will survive the descent, no matter what.
She’s barely eighteen, her father’s a drunk, her bitchy step-mother is about to pop out a screaming bundle of joy and the meat-headed jock next door wants to get in her pants. As if her life wasn’t bad enough – an illness is creeping through her small town, turning everyone around her into mindless flesh-eaters or puddles of gore. Now Riley will do whatever it takes to stay alive, because for her there is no other option.
Now, as for funding for “Blood & Dust”, Morgan and Dean want YOU to be a part of the production — from beginning to end — and are asking for donations of just $1.00 to help them achieve their $25,000 shooting budget. What do you get for your money? Once you’ve helped them reach their goal, they would like you, and everyone else you bring to the table, to stay with them … to walk through every step of the production. Watch video of their location scouting expeditions and tell them your thoughts and opinions; see casting sessions and participate in polls on which actors you think do the best job; and even assist them in decisions regarding the purchase of equipment, seeing where every single dollar goes. They will be providing exclusive web content, blogs, behind-the-scenes video, and narrative podcasts that expand the world of the film. Be as much a part of the filmmaking experience as you want!
Kathe Sweeney has already signed on as part of the production team, and “Monster” Mark Kosobucki (whose credits include Dead@17 and Lovecraft’s Pillow ) is on board for FX. But they’re certainly on the lookout for more. If you know any actors or crew in the area (upstate New York), let them know.
